Where High-Quality Materials Meet High-Quality Science Instruction

Join us in Ames in on Monday, September 21st for a workshop for all K-12 science educators and district leadership presented by Christopher Like from the Iowa Department of Education.

High-quality instructional materials (HQIM) can play a powerful role in improving student learning, but student achievement depends on how those materials are implemented and adapted to meet the needs of learners. In this workshop, science educators will explore practical strategies for adapting high-quality instructional materials while maintaining the integrity of their design.

Participants will examine instructional models, evidence-based teaching strategies, and assessment practices that support three-dimensional science learning and student sensemaking. Whether your district has already adopted instructional materials, is currently evaluating options, or has chosen a different approach, this session will provide tools and ideas that can strengthen science instruction and improve student outcomes.

Mark your calendars and register now.
