September 24 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
$100

We are excited to partner with Wanda Steuri & Dr. Darcie Kress from the Iowa Department of Education to offer this workshop for K-12 educators.

The workshop will focus on adolescent literacy and understanding dyslexia and how it impacts students.

Adolescent LiteracyThis session will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the evidence-based instructional strategies to use when teaching reading and writing to adolescents. The session will teach techniques for teaching and supporting decoding, reading comprehension, and writing.

Dyslexia: A Foundational UnderstandingThis session will help participants develop a foundational understanding of dyslexia. Participants will be able to define dyslexia, understand the characteristics of dyslexia in children at different ages and stages of reading and writing development, and understand the impact dyslexia can have on learning, reading, spelling and writing.
