MISIC Members-

We have just received notification from the Department of Education that work is going to begin soon to adopt state standards for the fine arts. See the note below from Angela Matsuoka, fine arts consultant at the Department of Education. The official press release should be coming out to all school districts from the Department of Education soon.

With this news, it has been decided to postpone our MISIC Fine Arts Day that was scheduled in March, until next fall when we know more about the outcome of this exciting project. We will again look forward to Wendy Barden joining us next fall to continue our work together.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

We will keep you posted as we hear about the progress of the DE project.
