Announcing Launch of New Website
Next Generation Science Standards
We are excited to announce that the NGSS website, www.nextgenscience.org, has a brand new look and more levels of utility. The revamped website has a host of new features for parents, teachers, school administrators, and other advocates of the NGSS.
To date, 17 states and the District of Columbia have adopted the NGSS as their state science standards. The previous site was created to share information with the public on how the new science standards were being developed.
The new site provides tools and resources that help educators as they implement the standards in classrooms. The site offers a more user friendly layout, extensive search features for all resources, and additional functionality to access content including the NGSS appendices and performance expectations. You will also be able to find:
- Classroom tools for teachers
- An explanation of 3-dimensional learning
- Resources to help administrators support NGSS in the classroom
- Evidence Statements and how to use them
- A robust set of communications resources for various audiences and stakeholders
While much of the new site’s content is directly related to the standards, it also features resources that can help teachers enhance science education in general. And more is coming!
Please look around the site to find all of our resources, publications, and other information about the science standards and then, let us know what you would like improved or added.
To leave feedback on the new website, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
with the subject “website.” You can also use that email for general questions about the NGSS.
