Focus on What Matters

The second MISIC Workshop for Fall 2022 is coming up on Monday, October 17. There is still time to register now and join us as we Focus on Learning: Teaching the Standards.

This workshop will focus on the following topics:

  • Understanding Students
  • Learning Design
  • Student Engagement

You will leave this workshop with knowledge, tools, and resources to:

  • Navigate and unite the five different generations now at school — with a special focus on our Generation Z Learners (Ages 10-25) and Alpha Generation Learners (Ages 1-9)
  • Apply engagement strategies and structures that facilitate participation and meaning making by students
  • Scaffold instruction to help all learners succeed
  • Provide strong Tier I Instruction – Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in classroom instruction
  • Differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • Align DOK levels in instruction and assessment

You can register for one or both of the remaining days in this series.

Focus on Learning: Teaching the Standards

Leave with knowledge, tools, and resources to:

Focus on Assessment: Reaching the Standards

Leave with knowledge, tools, and resources to:

  • Implement/enact/apply sound assessment practices to impact instructional decisions and improve student learning
  • Apply a deepened understanding of the ISASP to enhance the likelihood of student success OR to address teacher, parent, and student concerns
  • Use data to make instructional decisions
  • Use data to make decisions related to reteaching and reassessment

MISIC Members: $100/day

Non-MISIC Members: $195/day

***Note: Non-Member registration costs of $95/day will be credited to districts that join MISIC within the fiscal year 2022-2023.***

License Renewal Credit Available with Additional Coursework.
