DESCRIPTION:Iowa Social Studies Standards\nThe workshops will focus on Social Studies vocabulary\, writing to learn\, instructional strategies for an inquiry-based lesson and strategies for ensuring success for every learner. Participants will build on their understanding of the inquiry process\, compelling essential questions\, standards\, text complexity and text sets to develop their units. \n**The workshops will each have new content that build on previous workshops. However\, you can attend these even if you were unable to attend previous workshops. \nSeptember 16 & 17 – City Church – Ames\n8:30 – 3:00 p.m. \nMISIC Members: $100/person/day Register 4 people and the 5th person is free!***\nNon-MISIC Members: $195/person*** \nRegister here. \n***Late Registration: $20 added to the registration fee for registrations made within 3 weeks of the event.\n***Cancellation Policy: If received at least one week before the event\, 100% of the registration will be refunded. No refund will be made if cancellation is received within one week of the\nworkshop or conference.
