Social Studies Workshop

$100NEW for 2018-19!!! Administrator and Teacher Licensure Renewal Credit is available for attending a combination of meetings, conferences and workshops.
Register for October 30 by Tuesday, October 16 &
Register for November 12 by Monday, October 29 to avoid the late registration fees.
Late Registration: $20 added to the registration fee for registrations made within 2 weeks of the event.
Iowa Social Studies Standards
FFA Center, Ankeny
The workshops will focus on Social Studies vocabulary, writing to learn, instructional strategies for an inquiry-based lesson and strategies for ensuring success for every learner. Participants will build on their understanding of the inquiry process, compelling essential questions, standards, text complexity and text sets to develop their units.
**The workshops will each have new content that build on previous workshops. However, you can attend these even if you were unable to attend last year.

Workshop Costs
MISIC Members: $100/person*** Register 4 people and the 5th person is free.
Non-MISIC Members: $195/person***
***Late Registration: $20 added to the registration fee for registrations made within 2 weeks of the event.
***Cancellation Policy: If received at least one week before the event, 100% of the registration will be refunded. No refund will be made if cancellation is received within one week of the workshop or conference.
