Are you wanting to learn more about teaching students who are learning at home?

MISIC’s five new micro-credentials focusing on Remote Learning provide what you need. Topics are:

  • Making the Shift to Online Learning
  • Lesson Design and Delivery
  • Engaging Students in a Distant Environment
  • Netiquette and Norms for Learning and Teaming Online
  • Curating and Organizing Resources

These micro-credentials are directly related to your professional practice; the tasks are targeted to classroom application. Complete the micro-credentials individually or with your learning team to provide quality remote instruction and impact student learning. As an added benefit, you may select and complete any three of the five titles (more to come!) to earn a licensure renewal credit (LRC). LRC is open to everyone in Iowa for $80/credit. Click here to see complete course details. Contact MISIC to register for credit.

MISIC member districts can access all of MISIC’s micro-credentials and more resources by logging into the MISIC website.

MISIC will work with non-member districts to develop an agreement for the use of specific micro-credentials or to provide access to teachers.

To become a member of MISIC or to discuss how to enable your staff to unlock the power of micro-credentials for professional learning, contact Jamie at jamie@misiciowa.org.
