Social Studies Colleagues,
Recently the Center for Civic Education received a SEED Grant from the US Department of Education to implement the James Madison Legacy Project. The Iowa State Bar Association received funds from the Center for Civic Education to administer this grant for Iowa. The Bar Association is looking for TEN teachers to participate in the program during its first year.
Each participant will receive:
- Professional development from Constitutional scholars and teacher mentors
- $500 stipend with reimbursement for mileage and lodging, if needed
- Class set of We the People textbooks
- Meals and snacks during weekend seminars
- Two license renewal credits
Dates of the weekend seminars are:
- January 29-30
- February 26-27
- April 1-2
